It looked like Paul was going to get Perry out of there early in round one.

‘The Problem Child’ scored a heavy knockdown and continued to land flush on Perry when he got back to his feet.

Paul kicked off round two with another knockdown, and it was much heavier than the first.

Again, Perry bravely got back to his feet, but it seemed to be just a matter of time until his opponent caught him clean and closed the show.

However, the ex-UFC star continued to walk forward with reckless abandon, and it started to pay off towards the end of the second stanza as he landed several big punches.

Paul was seen gasping for air in his corner before round three got going.

Perry proceeded to put him on the back foot for the next few minutes, but it was clear Paul was the superior boxer, and he made that clear in the following frame.

Round four was his best of the fight. The 27-year-old influencer didn’t score a knockdown, but he had Perry on wobbly legs and the referee seemed to be on the verge of waving off the fight.

Paul looked forward to his fight with Mike Tyson during a post-fight interview with veteran MMA reporter Ariel Helwani.

He said: “I’m sorry it took so long. He’s tough, man, respect to Mike Perry, he’s the king of violence, but I just hit too hard. He took a lot of damage and that’s a W, I’m super excited.”

“Mike Tyson, you’re next big boy. November 15 on Netflix. I’m excited for that one.”

Perry claimed it was the speed that caught him out against Paul.

“I was trying to roll with the punches and hit your ass back, but you did a great job, you were way too fast for me and I couldn’t adjust,” he admitted.

“The first round when you knocked me down you were just too heavy, just kinda knocked me over and didn’t even rock me. But later on, you did a good job, congratulations.”
