Devin Haney has teased a potential fight in Saudi Arabia, despite considering a break from boxing.
The American star hasn’t fought since his overturned clash with Ryan Garcia, where he was defeated on points after being dropped three times.
But the result was later altered after ‘King Ry’ was banned from the sport for a year following two failed drugs tests in the aftermath of their grudge match.
Haney suggested with the rematch against Garcia off the table, that he’d only return to the sport in 2026.
But he has hinted that he could be back soon, tweeting: “The game ain’t been the same. It’s about time I come back. I gave you all three months.”

Then in the biggest teaser yet that he could make his comeback, Haney interacted with Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh, in a sign the pair could be working together for his next outing.
Alalshikh posted on social media: “Deliver the job champ. Waiting for you in Riyadh.”
To which Haney responded: “I would say the comeback, but I never left. See you soon brother.”
Haney vacated his WBC super-lightweight title despite keeping hold of it following his clash with Garcia, who missed weight, so was unable to grab the title.

But he will remain a champion ‘in recess’ and could look to return and win back his belt at the weight class.
‘The Dream’ was ordered to face Sandor Martin, but fans were unimpressed with the fight and there was a lack of interest.
Haney himself voiced his displeasure, given only Top Rank bidded for the clash and won the rights to stage it with a smaller financial offer.
It is likely that his main target would be a rematch with Garcia, who is set to return in 2025.
The American could look to take an interim fight to return to winning ways before pursuing the clash.
And he insisted previously that this would certainly be his main ambition if an offer is on the table.
Ryan Garcia claims he was ‘high as f***’ during his win over Devin Haney but denies using steroids for the fight
He told the MMA Hour: “I would love my next fight to be against Ryan Garcia if everything is right if everything is inactive with the drug tests.
“But he’s got to do his suspension, and we got to figure everything out. Of course, I want to get mine back in blood. I’m that kind of a fighter.
“The next fight [with Ryan Garcia] will be on my terms. We caught the guy cheating. So, wherever the fight is at, it’s going to be on my terms.

“I’m not fighting in weight classes anymore. I’m fighting any weight I choose. I love belts. Belts put you in history forever, but I did that already.
”For the s*** that he did, I want to make him pay for the s*** that he did in the ring, out the ring.”
