Jake Paul’s top prospect shockingly knocked out cold by boxer who was ‘losing every second of the fight’

Ashton ‘H20’ Sylve suffered a devastating upset loss on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Perry.

The previously undefeated American prospect dominated his opponent, Lucas Bahdi, from the very first bell at the Amalie Arena in Florida on Saturday night.

Sylve, who is signed to Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, was putting on a career-best performance as he pieced up his 16-0 opponent through five rounds.

However, one punch from Bahdi changed everything in the sixth stanza.

An overhand right stopped ‘H20’ in his tracks before ‘Prince’ followed up with a three-punch combination that sent him crashing face-first to the canvas.

Sylve appeared to already be out on his feet when Bahdi landed his final blow before wheeling off to begin wildly celebrating in his corner.

Concerned for his opponent’s well-being, the referee tried his best to calm down the Canadian, who was stopped from climbing on the ropes to address the 17,000 fans in attendance.

Veteran MMA reporter Ariel Helwani was on commentary duty for the fight and couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed.

He said: “Holy smokes! He was losing every minute of that fight.” Every round. Every minute.”

“Lucas Bahdi must’ve been praying for this moment, praying for this opportunity. He’s just shocked the world and has knocked out ‘H20’ Sylve out cold.”

One person tweeted: “KO OF THE YEAR.”

After a few scary moments, Sylve regained his senses and was seen sitting up on a chair in the ring as the commentators insisted the ringside doctor had checked him over and assured them everything was okay.

The 20-year-old has been making a name for himself fighting on cards headlined by Paul, who previously spoke with glee about the young prospect on his roster.

He said: “When I came into the sport, I wanted to do two things: really push women’s boxing forward and signing Amanda Serrano. And we wanted to help with young prospects and really help and be crucial in creating the next big thing in the sport of boxing.

“We believe Ashton has that talent, that flashiness, that style, that knockout power, that charisma to really be a massive, massive superstar and one of the next highest-paid boxers in the game in a very small and short amount of time.”
